Scans from the Toyota MR2 workshop manuals to help you adjust the front lights:
To change the bulb:
Basically you pop the headlamps up using the first click on the stalk followed by a flash (lights up but not on - some people
recommend removing the fuse at this point to prevent someone switching the light off and it lowering - it's up to you).
Then remove the 4 screws holding the plastic cover on, two at each side. This cover should then just come off.
Now you should be able to see a silver surround that hold the headlamp in place - this is held on with 4 screws which if you are lucky will all be
rust free and easy to turn. Carefully remove these whilst holding onto the lamp unit to prevent it falling out.
Once removed place screws and cover away from the hole under the pop-up unless you enjoy playing "find the screw".
Pull lamp out slightly and feel behind it, you should feel the connector - pull this off.
You should now have a lamp unit in your hand.
On the rear of the unit there is a rubber cover to stop water getting into the unit, make a note of which way up this is.
Pull the rubber cover off to reveal the back of the bulp.
Unclip the two spring clips.
Remove and replace bulb making sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulb.
Whilst light unit is removed check for leaves and general grime in the hole you now have access to, clean out if necessary.
Repeat all the above in reverse order.
